DESCRIPTION:Date: Saturday\, May 9\, 2026  \n\n\n\nTime: 10:00 am – 1:30 pm  \n\n\n\nLocation: Presidio Tunnel Tops\, 210 Lincoln Boulevard\, San Francisco\, CA 94129 \n\n\n\nDear Bay Area OI Siblings and Aspirants\, you are invited to our second Fire-Building Session.  \n\n\n\nThe Presidio Tunnel Tops is a stunning open-air park at the gateway of the Presidio\, offering sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge\, beautiful public lawns\, accessible restrooms\, and paid parking. It is easily reachable by public transit (Muni Routes 43 and 30)\, as well as by Waymo or Uber. \n\n\n\nThis is a beautiful opportunity for our Bay Area OI community to come together in person\, practice in community\, and share a casual recitation of the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings. \n\n\n\nPlease RSVP \n\n\n\nTo help us prepare\, please reach out and let us know: \n\n\n\n\nWill you be joining us on May 9?\n\n\n\nAre you able to offer a ride to others? SUMMARY:May Day of Mindfulness with Victoria Mausisa: Fierce Love -- Resistance and Rest
DESCRIPTION:A day for reflection\, recovery\, and engagement\n\n\n\nNOTE: This Day of Mindfulness will be held at East Bay Meditation Center (EBMC). See details below. \n\n\n\nWith cruelty and injustice in the world running rampant every day\, it can seem difficult to know what to do. \n\n\n\nWe invite you — activists\, advocates\, practitioners\, and all who support the creation of a better world — to gather for a day of mindfulness at EBMC. \n\n\n\nOur purpose\, first\, is to rest and recover our strength. If you have been protesting\, come and let the sangha hold you for a day. \n\n\n\nA second purpose is for mindful discussion about where we find hope\, and how our actions might help realize our hopes. \n\n\n\nDharma teacher Victoria Mausisa will be offering a teaching\, and other members of the NorCal Plum Village community will lead practices like sitting meditation\, walking meditation\, and eating meditation. Please bring a vegetarian lunch.  \n\n\n\nAll are welcome! \n\n\n\n\nAdd your name to the registration list\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEast Bay Meditation Center is approximately 3–4 blocks from 19th Street BART in Oakland. Metered street parking is available\, as well as at the Douglas Parking lot ($10.50/day) located at 1811 Harrison Street. \n\n\n\nParticipants will be offered to wear N95 or KN95 face masks\, but face masks are not mandatory.  \n\n\n\nFragrance-Free: East Bay Meditation Center is a scent free / fragrance free space. To attend in person\, you need to be completely free of fragranced body and clothing products. \n\n\n\nEBMC is wheelchair accessible. \n\n\n\nOpportunity for Dana: \n\n\n\nWe joyfully receive your dana/donations as acts of generosity and want you to know your presence is enough.
